Wedding & cash gift registry · New Zealand

Give the gifts that matter.

Bye-bye last-minute bank transfers, rushing to withdraw cash, slipping notes into a card from the supermarket. Hello to meaningful experiences, a future built together and giving people the things they actually want.

How our cash gift registry works

  1. Step 1

Build a registry of meaningful goals.

Start from a library of two hundred ready-made gift ideas, or write your own from scratch. Select from one-off gifts, group gifts toward a goal, or an open wishing well. Then design the page itself using our interactive design editor.

  2. Step 2

    Share it with your guests.

We give you one short link and every way to send it. Drop it into the invitation or your wedding website. Send email invites from the app and see who has opened, visited and gifted. Or generate a QR code in one of six styles, stamped with your monogram and ready to download or print for the tables.

Guests open it on a phone, flip through the tiles like a small magazine, choose one and write a few words with their gift. The page reads like an invitation, not a checkout form.

  3. Step 3

    Receive cash toward your goals.

The money lands in your connected account on Stripe's standard schedule.

Our dashboard overview lets you enjoy everyone's kindness in one place: gifts, messages and a running balance.

  4. Step 4

    Give thanks.

Every gift arrives with the giver's name, their message and what it went toward, so you always know who to thank and for what.

Write your note once and we personalise it for each guest, filling in their name and their gift before it sends from the app.

About WellWishes

We're an engaged couple who built something we wanted for our own wedding. When we started planning our wedding, we got caught up in the details; the paper for the invitations, the playlist, the way the afternoon light would fall during the ceremony. Getting those small things right made the whole day feel special.

Then we got to gifts and it brought us up short. A cardboard wishing well by the door. A bank account number at the bottom of the invite. The wishing well means cash on the day and a scramble for the ATM, with no real sense of who gave what. A transfer is easier, but it lands without a note or a moment and it tends to slip into the everyday account and gets spent without ever feeling like a gift.

So we made the thing we wished existed. A way to give and receive that feels as warm and considered as the rest of the day. If you care about getting the little things right too, we think you'll feel at home here.
