How our cash gift registry works

  1. Step 1

    Build your registry.

    Start from a library of two hundred ready-made gift ideas or write your own. Choose from one-off gifts, group gifts towards a goal or an open wishing well. Then design the page in the editor.

  2. Step 2

    Share it with your guests.

    You get one short link. Put it on your invitation or wedding website. You can also send email invites from the app and see who has opened, visited and gifted. There are six QR code styles you can download or print for the tables.

    Guests open it on their phone, pick a tile and add a message with their gift.

  3. Step 3

    Receive your gifts.

    Gifts arrive in your own Stripe account straight away and pay out to your bank automatically every Friday.

    Your dashboard shows your gifts, messages and running balance in one place.

  4. Step 4

    Give thanks.

    Every gift arrives with the sender's name, their message and what it went towards. You always know who to thank and for what.

    Write your note once. We fill in each guest's name and gift before it sends from the app.

About WellWishes

We're an engaged couple who built this for our own wedding. When we started planning we spent a lot of time on the details like the invitations and the playlist. Getting those small things right made the day feel like ours.

Then we got to gifts and the options were poor. One is a cardboard wishing well by the door. The other is a bank account number at the bottom of the invitation. A wishing well means cash on the day and no record of who gave what. A bank transfer is easier but it arrives without a message and usually gets spent on everyday costs.

So we built WellWishes. Guests send a gift online and add a message with it. You can see who gave what and put the money towards something you chose.
