About WellWishes

A small team in Aotearoa building the registry we wanted at our own weddings.

We started WellWishes because cash registries felt awkward (like a venmo request inside a wedding invitation) and gift-list registries felt dated. The couples we know want help with a honeymoon, a deposit on a first home, the bottle of something nice on the first night. Not a fourteenth set of tea towels.

So we made a registry that reads like a wedding invitation, not a checkout flow. Photos do the emotional work. Typography knows when to step out of the way. The voice is warm-formal, like a wedding planner who happens to be a friend.

We charge $200 to publish your registry (plus a small processing fee), then on each gift you choose who covers the processing fees. Your guests, you or split between you. The math is on the pricing page, shown as a worked example for all three modes. Trust is built by showing the receipt.

We're based in Aotearoa New Zealand. Customer support replies come from a real person (usually Andrew) and they're signed with a first name. If something has gone wrong, write to hello@wellwishes.co.nz and we'll sort it out one-on-one.

What we're not

  • A marketplace. We don't take a cut from your gifts to fund acquisition spend.
  • A SaaS dashboard. The registry is for guests; the dashboard is a quiet ledger of kindness, not a metrics console.
  • A platform for upsells. Once you've published, we're out of the way.
